Insulin and testosterone are counted as both endogenous and exogenous hormones. It means that both are produced inside the body and can be taken externally as well through oral or intravenous administration.
Exogenous insulin is any insulin that your body doesn’t make on its own, that you get by means of infusion, insulin pump, or by an inhalation device. Exogenous insulin means the insulin items available that you may use to self-deal with your diabetes.
Similarly, exogenous testosterone is not created by the body. It can be self-taken using
testosterone supplements and/or injections.
