Testosterone has been previously in almost all Olympic sports by athletes. However,
injectable and oral testosterone has been prohibited from Olympic sports since 1976, and was characterized in the United States as a controlled substance by the Anabolic Steroid Control Act of 1990.
It is considered as a banned substance now and any sports person or athlete must test
negative during the drug test, otherwise there is a risk of being banned from the
competition, or worse, banned for life and stripped of previously won titles.
